Programs for Seniors

MASC seniors program includes:

Workshops; Performances; Author's visits; Storytelling and more.

For the past 8 years MASC has been serving up the arts to seniors with programming featuring talented artists bringing opportunities for hands-on participation in engaging workshops and thrilling, multicultural performances. Participants speak of the excitement of finding a creative ability, widening their understanding of other cultures and the pleasure of participating in a performance or hands-on workshop. MASC programs are offered at a subsidized rate, with priority given to organizations who work with low-income seniors, or who have limited budgets for arts programming.

MASC connects artists and life-long learning:

  • Create in Dance, Drama, Literary Arts, Music, Media and Visual Arts
  • Increase the engagement of participants
  • Encourage art appreciation
  • Bring people together, reducing isolation
  • Build knowledge and skills
  • Provide dynamic, culturally diverse experiences.

All MASC artists have undergone vulnerable sector screening.
