About this program
Students learn about the production and history of shadow puppetry. After assembling their puppet, participants explore manipulation techniques (puppets’ complexity depends on participants’ age). They learn various effects that can be achieved by moving both the puppets and the light source, followed by a short performance. This workshop touches on many math and science concepts and requires some preparation before the workshop.
