Police Check

All MASC artists are required to submit a police check and sign an Annual Offence Declaration.
As of November 2018, changes were made to legislation regarding police checks for vulnerable sector.

At this time, Ottawa Police asks MASC artists living in Ottawa to apply for a Level 2 – Criminal Record & Judicial Matters.

For MASC artists living in Gatineau, Gatineau police asks they apply for a Vérification d’antécédents judiciaires. For artists living outside of Ottawa-Gatineau area, we recommend you check with your local police station to obtain the correct check.

Travel

Schools over 25 km from Ottawa centre will be charged a travel fee for artist’s transportation costs. In some cases, a second performance or workshop must be booked in a nearby venue when artists travel to rural areas.
